8 best solar CRM platforms in India

Quickest Solar CRM ranks first for a proposal-first Indian solar sales team under a disclosed adoption lens. We compare it with seven alternatives using live English and Hindi search attempts, official product material, and current Indian evidence on PM Surya Ghar, DISCOM handoffs, subsidy assumptions, ALMM equipment records, GST, privacy, WhatsApp, accounting, field work, and customer handover.

Which solar CRM is best in India?

Quickest Solar CRM is our number-one proposal-first choice for an Indian installer that values mobile adoption, fast proposals, lead ownership, and follow-up. QuickEstimate publishes this comparison, sells Quickest, and states that the ranking is not independent. Quickest has direct Indian pricing and workflow evidence, but buyers must still test current PM Surya Ghar and state DISCOM stages, subsidy and tariff versions, ALMM and DCR equipment, GST documents, WhatsApp consent, privacy, accounting, field installation, commissioning, support, and export. ARKA 360 is the strongest design-heavy Indian alternative, while OpenSolar provides the strongest free core design option.

The best solar CRM by use case

A useful shortlist starts with the sales or delivery bottleneck. Each winner below reflects a different buying priority, while the overall ranking rewards a CRM that a solar sales team can adopt quickly.

The official pricing capture did not expose dependable plan amounts. Seats, hubs, contacts, onboarding, calling, messages, and add-ons can change the total.

The India Solar CRM Fit Test

We captured ten live search attempts across CRM, proposals, pricing, PM Surya Ghar, DISCOM workflows, and Hindi phrasing. Seven English DuckDuckGo Lite queries returned usable results; the DISCOM query and two Hindi searches returned HTTP 202 without results, so no Hindi ranking claims are made. We audited prominent ranking pages and existing QuickEstimate articles, then checked current MNRE, National Portal, CBIC, MeitY, and official vendor sources. Quickest leads because adoption of one lead-to-proposal-to-follow-up flow carries extra weight. We publish no numeric scores because public pages cannot prove daily usability, support, implementation quality, or state-level accuracy precisely enough.

01

Solar workflow depth

Can the product carry system details, proposal status, project milestones, and the delivery handoff without rebuilding the process in custom fields?

02

Sales control

Can managers route leads, track activity, automate follow-up, forecast revenue, and see why an opportunity stalled?

03

Proposal and design

Can a rep move from site information to a credible customer proposal, and how much specialist solar design happens inside the platform?

04

Local transaction fit

Does the workflow support the language, currency, tax, communications, documents, and handoffs common in India?

05

Cost to adoption

What setup, migration, training, administration, and extra software does the apparent subscription require?

Evidence standard. This edition uses public product, pricing, regulatory, and market sources checked on 6 September 2026. A listed capability may depend on plan or configuration. We did not conduct hands-on tests, so we do not publish numerical product scores.

Pricing and capability labels were checked against official sources on 6 September 2026. Currency conversion is intentionally omitted where a vendor does not publish a local price.

An Indian solar CRM must preserve the scheme, DISCOM, equipment, tax, and handover record

An Indian rooftop record should connect the consumer account, state and DISCOM, bills, feasibility status, site survey, design, module and inverter models, proposal revision, vendor agreement, installation evidence, geo-tagged photos, inspection, metering agreement, commissioning, subsidy status, GST documents, consent, warranty, and handover. Commercial work needs separate tender, engineering, procurement, milestone, variation, and acceptance stages.

02

The official PM Surya Ghar CFA guidelines place consumer registration, vendor choice, agreed system and commercial terms, technical compliance, feasibility where applicable, installation, portal updates, DISCOM inspection, meter installation and agreement, and CFA processing into a connected journey. A CRM should preserve submissions and accepted versions rather than merely showing a subsidy stage.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy: PM Surya Ghar CFA operational guidelines ↗
03

The guidelines say the consumer chooses a vendor registered on the National Portal and mutually agrees the system, quality, warranty, and financial terms. They also state that actual vendor agreements can vary. Keep the exact signed proposal, agreement, equipment schedule, payment terms, warranty promise, and later variation together.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy: PM Surya Ghar CFA operational guidelines ↗
04

After installation, the guidelines call for system details and geo-tagged photographs on the portal. The application then moves to DISCOM inspection and the appropriate agreement. CFA processing follows physical verification. Store the photo source, coordinates, capture time, uploader, inspection checklist, defects, correction evidence, approval, meter record, and subsidy status.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy: PM Surya Ghar CFA operational guidelines ↗
05

The guidelines state that central CFA is based on the rated DC capacity of installed modules and set conditions for eligible residential systems. They also allow state or union-territory support to supplement central CFA. A proposal must label the source, capacity basis, customer eligibility, application date, state top-up, and approval status rather than presenting subsidy as guaranteed cash.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy: PM Surya Ghar CFA operational guidelines ↗
06

MNRE says ALMM List I identifies eligible module models and manufacturers for government-assisted, government-scheme, open-access, and net-metering projects, and the list is updated regularly. The page also tracks List II for cells and changing clarifications. Save the exact model, manufacturer, list, revision date, DCR evidence, serials, and reviewer used for each job.

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy: Approved List of Models and Manufacturers ↗
07

CBIC publishes GST rates by goods and services classification. A rooftop contract can contain equipment, installation, civil or electrical work, services, discounts, advances, and later changes, so one universal solar GST switch is unsafe. Have a tax professional approve classifications, place of supply, invoice fields, e-invoicing or e-way-bill requirements, credit notes, and record retention.

08

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act defines Data Fiduciary and Data Principal roles, requires notice around consent requests, describes consent as free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous, and provides a withdrawal route. Solar CRMs holding bills, Aadhaar-related documents, property images, bank details, calls, and messages need purpose, access, processor, retention, breach, correction, erasure, and export controls.

Why each solar CRM earns its place

Each review explains the useful workflow, the buyer who should shortlist it, and the country-specific question that a sales demo must answer.

02
A
Best India-facing design depth

ARKA 360

ARKA 360 ↗

ARKA 360 is the strongest design-heavy Indian alternative, but buyers must resolve its plan and CRM inclusions and verify current subsidy, ALMM, DISCOM, and tax outputs.

Captured USD entry$199 per monthDesignResidential and commercialCRMPlan-dependent

ARKA 360 documents residential and commercial design, shading, 3D visualisation, layouts, CAD, SLD, production and financial reports, proposals, lead management, surveys, tasks, and APIs by plan. Its official page publishes Indian pricing sections, which gives it stronger local commercial evidence than most international design products here.

Why shortlist it
  • Advanced solar design and proposal scope
  • Residential and commercial capabilities by plan
  • Lead, task, survey, and API functions are documented
Check before buying
  • Resolve plan, currency, user count, add-ons, and annual commitment
  • Verify each claimed Indian integration in a live account

Choose it if: the company wants design depth and sales tools in the same shortlist and has technical staff to validate outputs and administer the workflow. Choose another platform if: a simple free platform, transparent usage pricing, or deeper post-sale operations is the priority.

03
OS
Best free core design platform

OpenSolar

OpenSolar Pro ↗

OpenSolar is the strongest free core alternative for design-led residential selling, provided its Indian imagery, tariff, equipment, payment, and utility workflow passes the test.

Core priceFreePaid changeExternal connectivity from April 2026ScopeDesign, sell, manage

OpenSolar combines lead capture, AI-assisted and manual design, solar and battery proposals, financial presentation, e-signature, payments, a built-in CRM, project management, teams, hardware ordering, imagery, permitting services, and integrations. Its free core makes it a credible reference product against every paid proposal platform.

Why shortlist it
  • Broad free core for design, proposals, CRM, and projects
  • Solar and battery presentation with e-signature
  • Useful benchmark before paying for another platform
Check before buying
  • Verify Indian GST, tariffs, subsidy, ALMM, DISCOM, privacy, and support terms
  • Test WhatsApp, accounting, weak-connectivity field work, handover, and full export

Choose it if: design and customer presentation are central, the team wants a free core, and local validation shows that companion services are available at a sensible total cost. Choose another platform if: offline installation work, deep accounting and inventory, or a tightly focused sales-adoption workflow matters more than an integrated design platform.

04
P
Best usage-priced solar design

Pylon

Pylon pricing ↗

Pylon offers the clearest low-commitment design pricing in this shortlist, but several technical and integration cues are Australian and require Indian validation.

Standard$4 per projectPro$10 per projectCRMFrom $49 per user monthly

Pylon publishes high-resolution imagery, panel placement, solar and battery design, shading, interval-data analysis, financial projections, web and PDF proposals, signatures, card payments, SLDs, voltage-rise reports, job sheets, owner manuals, integrations, and an optional sales CRM. Usage pricing can fit a team that does not want a fixed design subscription.

Why shortlist it
  • Transparent per-project design model
  • Strong proposal, battery, interval-data, and install-document scope
  • Optional CRM avoids forcing every buyer into a sales subscription
Check before buying
  • Verify Indian GST, tariffs, subsidy, ALMM, DISCOM, privacy, and support terms
  • Test WhatsApp, accounting, weak-connectivity field work, handover, and full export

Choose it if: design volume varies and the team wants capable solar proposals and project documents without a large fixed design commitment. Choose another platform if: the company wants a free core, a broad operations suite, or a CRM with deeper marketing automation.

05
S+
Best design-to-handover depth

SolarPlus

SolarPlus plans and pricing ↗

SolarPlus has the broadest specialist design-to-handover documentation here, but Indian teams must replace Australian compliance, maps, tariffs, tax, and integrations with verified local inputs.

Starter annualUSD 135 monthlyPro annualUSD 260 monthlyComplete annualUSD 450 monthly

SolarPlus documents solar and battery sizing, interval-data and appliance load analysis, off-grid work, demand tariffs, peak shaving, EV and hot-water modelling, system upgrades, lifetime cash flow, PPA and financial analysis, string configuration, equipment, proposals, option comparison, pricing, CRM, tasks, contracts, invoicing, installation job packs, safety documents, and handover manuals.

Why shortlist it
  • Deep solar, storage, load, tariff, and finance modelling
  • Workflow reaches installation packs and handover
  • Residential, commercial, and off-grid use cases
Check before buying
  • Verify Indian GST, tariffs, subsidy, ALMM, DISCOM, privacy, and support terms
  • Test WhatsApp, accounting, weak-connectivity field work, handover, and full export

Choose it if: technical design, batteries, commercial modelling, and consistent project documents justify a specialist platform and a careful localisation project. Choose another platform if: the business needs a lighter sales workflow, a free core, or general accounting and inventory more than advanced energy modelling.

06
Z
Best configurable general CRM

Zoho CRM

Zoho CRM pricing ↗

Zoho CRM offers broad configurable sales control at a low starting point, but a Indian solar company must own the data model, solar design connection, field process, and ongoing administration.

Free editionThree usersMobileOfficial mobile appsPaid local priceConfirm directly

Zoho CRM publishes leads, contacts, activities, forms, pipelines, email, calling, mobile apps, imports and exports, reports, APIs, workflow automation, custom modules, approvals, inventory, CPQ, portals, journeys, forecasting, sandboxes, and security controls across its editions. This breadth suits a business with multiple lead sources and formal sales governance.

Why shortlist it
  • Broad forms, pipelines, automation, approvals, portals, reports, and APIs
  • Free edition for three users
  • Flexible custom modules for a controlled implementation
Check before buying
  • Verify Indian GST, tariffs, subsidy, ALMM, DISCOM, privacy, and support terms
  • Test WhatsApp, accounting, weak-connectivity field work, handover, and full export

Choose it if: the company wants general CRM depth, has several marketing and sales motions, and can fund an owner for configuration and governance. Choose another platform if: the team wants solar design, proposals, utility stages, and handover with less custom work.

07
O
Best configurable operations suite

Odoo

Odoo pricing ↗

Odoo is the most operationally ambitious option here, but it becomes a project rather than a simple CRM purchase and needs a strong Indian implementer plus specialist solar design.

FreeOne app, unlimited usersHostingOdoo Online included by planImplementationSeparate scope

Odoo brings CRM, sales, quotations, signatures, accounting, invoicing, purchasing, inventory, documents, projects, planning, timesheets, field service, help desk, website, marketing, and reporting into one app family. That can reduce duplicate customer, supplier, stock, job, invoice, and service records for an installer willing to implement an ERP-shaped process.

Why shortlist it
  • Broad CRM-to-accounting and field-service scope
  • Inventory, purchasing, projects, invoices, and documents can share records
  • One App Free can support a narrow test
Check before buying
  • Verify Indian GST, tariffs, subsidy, ALMM, DISCOM, privacy, and support terms
  • Test WhatsApp, accounting, weak-connectivity field work, handover, and full export

Choose it if: operational fragmentation across sales, procurement, stock, jobs, billing, and service is the central problem and management will sponsor implementation. Choose another platform if: the immediate need is a quick solar proposal rollout or advanced PV and battery design without an ERP project.

08
H
Best marketing-led CRM

HubSpot CRM

HubSpot CRM pricing ↗

HubSpot is a credible marketing and customer-platform option, but it ranks last because the Indian solar, field, and public-pricing gaps create the heaviest fit and cost test for this use case.

EntryFree CRM toolsSolar designSeparate platform requiredLocal totalObtain a quote

HubSpot is built around customer records, forms, email, marketing, pipeline management, tasks, automation, reporting, content, service, commerce, and a large integration catalogue. It can suit a solar company whose main challenge is generating, routing, nurturing, and measuring leads across multiple channels rather than technical design or installation control.

Why shortlist it
  • Strong general marketing, sales, content, service, and integration catalogue
  • Free tools support an initial contact and pipeline test
  • Suitable for structured inbound and multi-channel lead management
Check before buying
  • Verify Indian GST, tariffs, subsidy, ALMM, DISCOM, privacy, and support terms
  • Test WhatsApp, accounting, weak-connectivity field work, handover, and full export

Choose it if: inbound marketing, lead nurturing, pipeline automation, and customer communication drive the buying case and the business can integrate specialist tools. Choose another platform if: the team mainly needs solar design, proposal speed, installation documents, inventory, or a low-cost all-in-one workflow.

How should a Indian solar company choose a CRM?

Choose by the most expensive broken handoff, then test that handoff using real opportunities, real users, and the documents your customers actually receive.

Small PM Surya Ghar sales teamStart with Quickest

Quickest gets the first test when lead ownership, INR proposals, WhatsApp follow-up, and mobile adoption are the immediate problems. Make the team prove the current state and DISCOM process before importing live leads.

Design-led residential installerCompare ARKA 360 and OpenSolar

ARKA 360 brings India-facing design and pricing evidence. OpenSolar offers a broad free core. Validate ALMM records, Indian tariffs, subsidy versions, DISCOM documents, and field handover in either system.

Battery or commercial design teamCompare SolarPlus and Pylon

Both document detailed design and proposal functions. SolarPlus reaches further into batteries, loads, commercial finance, and handover. Pylon has lower-commitment project pricing. Remove Australian assumptions before use.

Operations-led EPCCompare Odoo with a solar design tool

Odoo can connect CRM, sales, purchasing, stock, projects, field service, accounting, and support. It needs an Indian implementation owner and a verified design and DISCOM layer.

Marketing-led multi-team companyCompare Zoho CRM and HubSpot

These general platforms suit forms, campaigns, routing, automation, reporting, and service. Budget solar design, WhatsApp, GST, subsidy, field, and utility configuration separately.

The Three-Deal Proof

Run the same three opportunities in every shortlisted CRM: one ordinary lead, one revision-heavy project, and one deal that already failed. This removes demo theatre and exposes repeated entry, stale documents, weak mobile adoption, and missing local support.

  1. 1
    Run the clean deal

Capture a real lead, assign it, create the proposal, schedule follow-up, record acceptance, and hand it to delivery.

  2. 2
    Change the assumptions

Change the system, equipment, price, payment route, and installation date. Identify every stale record.

  3. 3
    Recreate a failure

Use a duplicate, missed follow-up, rejected proposal, or delayed job and ask the CRM to show what happens next.

10 requirements to verify in India

01

INR prices, GST, and accounting acceptance

Build residential, housing-society, and commercial quotes in INR. Test equipment, labour, civil work, discounts, advances, milestones, retention, credit notes, and cancellation. Have the accountant approve GST classifications, invoice output, e-invoice or e-way-bill treatment, and books integration.

02

PM Surya Ghar version and eligibility

Record scheme route, consumer category, connection identity, property, sanctioned load, module DC capacity, state support, source, effective date, and reviewer. Revise a subsidy rule without changing the accepted proposal or earlier application.

03

DISCOM-specific process

Use the serving DISCOM portal and current state regulation. Test feasibility, document requests, corrections, installation update, inspection, agreement, meter procurement and installation, commissioning, approval, and subsidy status with timestamps and owners.

04

ALMM, DCR, and equipment traceability

Validate manufacturer and exact module model against the applicable ALMM revision and DCR condition. Preserve inverter and protection data, datasheets, serial numbers, purchase record, substitution approval, installation photos, warranty, and handover.

05

Residential and commercial separation

Keep subsidy-led residential work distinct from housing-society, commercial, industrial, tender, and open-access journeys. Give commercial work decision makers, engineering reviews, procurement, milestone billing, tax deductions, variations, acceptance, and service stages.

06

Design, tariff, export, and savings assumptions

Create a traceable design from bills or interval data. Show consumption, self-use, exports, losses, degradation, dated retail and export values, outage and battery assumptions, finance inputs, and uncertainty. Keep every accepted version.

07

WhatsApp consent and ownership

Test lead consent, approved templates, service and marketing messages, opt-out, sender identity, conversation assignment, attachments, delivery state, cost, and write-back. Confirm the official WhatsApp Business route and a fallback for customers using another channel.

08

Mobile and weak-connectivity field work

At a low-signal site, open the current scope, survey, roof and electrical checklist, capture geo-tagged photos, serials, defects, notes, and signatures, then sync without duplicates. Test role removal and lost-device response.

09

DPDP and processor terms

Map data purpose and source. Review notices, consent withdrawal, permissions, audit logs, processors, subprocessors, hosting, transfers, safeguards, breaches, retention, correction, erasure, bulk export, and closure before importing live records.

10

Commissioning, warranty, and handover

Use the approved design and store inspection, agreement, meter details, safety tests, commissioning, punch-list closure, subsidy evidence, warranties, customer training, manuals, signed acceptance, service tickets, and a complete export.

Contract rule: A country name on a vendor website does not prove that local billing, documents, integrations, support hours, or regulatory workflows are included in your plan. Put each required capability in the order form.

What does solar CRM software cost in India?

Compare a three-year INR cost covering users, design volume, storage, WhatsApp templates and conversations, email and SMS, premium imagery, e-signatures, payment fees, APIs, connectors, accounting, onboarding, migration, configuration, training, support, security review, and exit. Keep vendor currencies unchanged when no Indian price exists. A converted web price is not a local quote, and GST inclusion must be explicit.

ARKA 360 publishes Indian plan sections alongside global pricing. The captured page lists annual INR amounts and says 18 percent GST applies, but plan names and CRM inclusions vary across sections. Obtain a dated quote that identifies users, projects, design functions, CRM, API, support, and tax.

OpenSolar says its core platform remains free, while external API access and supported connectors became paid on 16 April 2026. Price imagery, payments, finance, messages, permitting, hardware, and every external connection needed in India.

Pylon lists $4 Standard and $10 Pro per project, with Solar CRM from $49 per user monthly. SolarPlus lists annual-prepay plans in USD. Neither captured page establishes those dollar figures as INR, so request Indian terms and tax treatment.

Zoho CRM offers a free edition for three users and exposes INR on its captured pricing page. Odoo shows USD on the captured page, while HubSpot did not expose dependable plan totals. Confirm regional checkout, GST, onboarding, contacts, credits, support, and renewal.

Why Quickest Solar CRM ranks first in India

Quickest ranks first because this comparison gives the greatest weight to proposal-first value and adoption for an Indian field sales team. It keeps lead ownership, solar proposal work, follow-up, WhatsApp-oriented communication, and pipeline visibility close together. The free plan supports a controlled test before a larger deployment.

The commercial relationship is explicit. QuickEstimate publishes this list and sells Quickest, so the ranking is not independent. We found direct Indian pricing and India-focused product evidence, but we rejected unsupported claims in older company articles about fixed 60-second output, conversion lifts, revenue gains, or universal ROI. Those claims do not form part of this ranking.

A complete test starts with a redacted consumer record and ends with an exportable handover. Build and revise an INR quote, have GST output approved, record the current scheme and subsidy basis, use an actual DISCOM route, validate the module against the applicable ALMM and DCR requirements, collect geo-tagged installation evidence, preserve inspection and meter stages, and export files plus activity history.

Alternatives win under other priorities. ARKA 360 offers deeper India-facing design evidence. OpenSolar is the strongest free core design platform. SolarPlus documents broad battery and commercial modelling. Pylon offers usage-priced design. Zoho CRM and HubSpot go deeper in general marketing and sales. Odoo reaches further into accounting, purchasing, inventory, projects, and field service.

Frequently asked questions about solar CRM in India

What is the best solar CRM in India?

Quickest is our first proposal-focused trial for a small or growing Indian solar team because it connects lead ownership, mobile proposals, follow-up, WhatsApp-oriented work, and pipeline visibility. QuickEstimate publishes this ranking and sells Quickest, so it is not independent. Choose it only after your state, DISCOM, subsidy, ALMM, GST, privacy, accounting, field, and export tests pass.

Can a solar CRM connect directly to PM Surya Ghar?

Do not assume that a portal logo or subsidy field means direct integration. Ask the vendor to demonstrate the current authorised route, credentials, data fields, consent, submission, status retrieval, corrections, audit log, and manual fallback. The official process involves the consumer, registered vendor, National Portal, and serving DISCOM, with state-specific requirements still relevant.

Which DISCOM stages should the CRM track?

At minimum, preserve consumer and connection identity, registration, feasibility where applicable, document versions, vendor agreement, installation, system and geo-photo upload, inspection, corrections, metering agreement, meter procurement and installation, commissioning, portal approval, and CFA status. Names and order vary by state and DISCOM, so use a dated configurable workflow.

Should a proposal show PM Surya Ghar subsidy as guaranteed?

No. Show the scheme source and date, customer and property assumptions, module DC capacity basis, central CFA calculation, any state support, eligibility conditions, application status, and who verifies the result. Keep customer price, payable amount, financing, and expected subsidy distinct. Update the assumption without overwriting the accepted proposal.

How should a CRM store ALMM and DCR evidence?

Store the exact manufacturer, model, relevant ALMM list, revision and check date, DCR evidence when required, datasheet, supplier, purchase record, serial numbers, substitution approval, installation photos, and warranty. A brand name alone is insufficient because eligibility attaches to applicable models, rules, project routes, and dates.

What GST rate should solar CRM software apply?

Do not use one universal switch without tax review. A contract can combine goods, installation, civil or electrical work, services, discounts, advances, and changes. Have the installer's tax adviser approve classification, rate, place of supply, time of supply, invoice fields, e-invoicing or e-way-bill obligations, credit notes, and records for the actual contract.

Does the DPDP Act apply to solar leads and documents?

Solar records can include contact details, electricity bills, identity documents, property images, bank information, calls, signatures, and messages. Map the lawful purpose, notice, consent or other basis, access, processors, security, retention, withdrawal, correction, erasure, breach response, and export. Confirm current commencement and rule obligations with counsel before rollout.

What should an installer test in WhatsApp integration?

Confirm the official business account and provider, consent, templates, service and marketing categories, opt-out, assignment, delivery state, attachments, conversation charges, retention, and CRM write-back. Test a customer reply, reassignment, failed delivery, number change, deletion request, and an alternate channel. Do not treat access to a share button as full integration.

Still deciding?

Take the comparison into your next vendor demo.

Use the Three-Deal Proof and require every vendor to show the same lead, revision, document, and failed handoff.
