The solar CRM built for Indian EPCs, not adapted for them
A solar CRM should know what a kilowatt costs, what PM Surya Ghar pays back, and that your customer replies on WhatsApp. Quickest Solar CRM runs the whole solar pipeline, from first enquiry to commissioned plant, on a phone your sales team already carries.
Free forever plan. No card. Used by 1,000+ Indian solar businesses across 22 states.
Illustrative pipeline. Stages match how solar is actually sold in India.
What is a solar CRM?
A solar CRM is customer relationship management software shaped around how solar is actually sold and installed, instead of a general sales tool with solar-sounding labels bolted on. The difference shows up in three places: the pipeline stages, the maths, and the paperwork.
A generic CRM gives you stages like Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Won. A solar deal does not work that way. It runs enquiry, site survey, quotation, subsidy application, net metering, installation, then operations and maintenance. Two of those stages sit with a government portal and a DISCOM rather than with your sales rep, and a CRM that cannot represent them leaves your team guessing where a deal actually is.
A solar CRM also has to do arithmetic that a general CRM has never heard of. System sizing against a customer's consumption. Bill of materials with GST. Payback period. And in India, the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana subsidy, which changes what the customer pays and is the single number most likely to be got wrong in a hurry on a rooftop.
Why a general CRM fails for solar businesses
Most Indian EPCs arrive here after trying a general CRM, a spreadsheet, or both at once.
It cannot size a system
A general CRM stores a deal value you typed in. It cannot take a monthly bill and tell you the plant size, so that work goes back to a spreadsheet and stops being visible to anyone else.
It does not know the subsidy
PM Surya Ghar changes the customer's net cost. If the CRM cannot apply the current slabs, every quote is a manual calculation, and manual calculations under time pressure are where the margin goes.
It has no DISCOM stage
Net metering approval is a real stage that a real person has to chase. A pipeline without it makes signed orders look complete when they are actually waiting on a utility.
It assumes email
Indian solar customers reply on WhatsApp. A CRM built on email sequences produces follow-up that nobody reads and reporting that says you followed up when you did not.
It assumes a desk
The moment to send a quote is on the roof, while the customer is standing next to you. If the CRM is a desktop tool, the quote goes out that evening, or the next day, or not at all.
It leaves you in two systems
The common end state is a CRM holding names and a spreadsheet holding the actual solar work. Two systems, one of which is out of date, and no owner able to see the real pipeline.
The honest comparison is not really CRM against CRM. For most Indian installers it is a solar CRM against Excel plus WhatsApp, which is the incumbent worth beating.
The pipeline a solar CRM has to model
Seven stages, two of which are outside your control. A CRM that hides those two will mislead you.
Enquiry
Lead arrives from Meta, IndiaMART, a Google form, a referral or a walk-in. It lands in one inbox instead of four.
Site survey
Roof area, shading, sanctioned load, meter details. Captured on the phone, on site, with photos attached to the lead.
Quotation
System size, bill of materials, GST, labour. The subsidy applied automatically so the net figure is right the first time.
Subsidy application
PM Surya Ghar registration and documentation. Tracked as a stage, because it gates everything after it.
Net metering
DISCOM application, feasibility, meter installation. Owned by the utility, chased by you, visible to the owner.
Installation
Material dispatch, mounting, commissioning. The point at which the customer expects to hear from you daily.
Operations and maintenance
Service visits, warranty claims, and the referrals that come from a customer who was not abandoned after commissioning.
What a solar CRM needs to handle in India specifically
This is where an imported product struggles, however good it is at everything else.
PM Surya Ghar
The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana subsidy is the first question a residential customer asks and the number they will hold you to. Your CRM should apply the current slabs to the system on the quote and show the customer their net payable, not send your rep back to a calculator.
DISCOM and net metering
Rules, load limits and timelines differ by state and by distribution company. A solar CRM built elsewhere treats net metering as an afterthought. In India it is a pipeline stage that decides whether a signed deal becomes a commissioned plant this quarter or next.
GST on the quotation
A solar quotation that does not carry GST correctly is a quotation you will have to reissue. The tax treatment belongs in the document the customer sees, not in a separate invoice conversation later.
WhatsApp as the channel
Email open rates are not the metric that matters here. Proposals go out on WhatsApp, follow-ups happen on WhatsApp, and approvals arrive as a voice note. A solar CRM for India has to treat that as the primary channel rather than an integration.

What Quickest Solar CRM does
Six modules. Each one exists because an Indian EPC asked for it.
Lead capture
Meta Lead Ads, IndiaMART, Google Forms and walk-ins land in one place, assigned to a rep, with the source recorded so you learn which channel actually pays.
Proposal generator
A branded, subsidy-ready proposal in about 60 seconds, built on the phone during the site visit rather than back at the office.
Quotation system
Bill of materials, GST, labour and subsidy in one document, so the price the customer sees is the price you meant to quote.
Pipeline management
The seven solar stages above, with every deal's real position visible to the owner without asking anyone for an update.
WhatsApp follow-up
Reminders and templates that go out on the channel customers actually answer, without turning into the kind of spam that gets a number blocked.
Sales reports
Conversion by source, by rep and by stage. The answer to "why did this month look like that" without rebuilding a spreadsheet.
Who a solar CRM is for
Growing EPC companies
Three to twenty-five people, five to thirty deals a month. The owner has become the bottleneck because every quote and every follow-up still routes through them.
Solo installers
One person doing sales, survey and installation. Losing deals to firms whose proposals simply look more professional. The free plan exists for this.
Multi-branch dealers
Several locations, inconsistent pricing, and no single view of the pipeline across branches.
Operations leads
Running a team that already has a marketing CRM which cannot quote solar, and doing the difference by hand every week.

Design software and a solar CRM are not competitors, they do different jobs. If you need shading analysis and stamped drawings you want a design tool such as SurgePV alongside a CRM, not instead of one.
