Solar workflow depth
Can the product carry system details, proposal status, project milestones, and the delivery handoff without rebuilding the process in custom fields?
Quickest Solar CRM is our first pick for a focused mobile route from lead capture to a branded proposal and visible follow-up. Nova Metrics has the strongest local quote-to-handover claims, while solarVis publishes the clearest South African tariff and design story. We compared eight tools against ZAR and VAT, supplier tariffs, hybrid and battery sales, SSEG, field jobcards, WhatsApp, POPIA controls, and customer handover.
Direct answer
Quickest Solar CRM ranks first under our proposal-first adoption lens because it keeps leads, branded proposals, pipeline stages, mobile work, and follow-up close together and offers a free pilot. QuickEstimate publishes this comparison and owns Quickest, so that position is not an independent award. Quickest's public proof is India-first, and we found no official evidence of complete South African localisation. Require written confirmation of ZAR, VAT, tariffs, battery modelling, NRS 097, SSEG, CoC, POPIA, WhatsApp, field, payment, support, and data requirements. Nova Metrics is the strongest local specialist on published features, and solarVis is the strongest documented tariff-led design choice.
8 jobs, 8 picks
A useful shortlist starts with the sales or delivery bottleneck. Each winner below reflects a different buying priority, while the overall ranking rewards a CRM that a solar sales team can adopt quickly.

We examined the full customer record rather than counting generic features. The test starts when an enquiry arrives, follows tariff and backup assumptions into a proposal, then checks revision, consent, SSEG, installation, CoC, warranty, and handover. Direct government, utility, association, and vendor pages support the factual claims. Nova Metrics, solarVis, TrackFSO, and ServCraft statements about their own systems remain vendor claims unless a named source is stated. We show public prices only when the vendor currently publishes them and do not convert EUR or other currencies into rand.
Can the product carry system details, proposal status, project milestones, and the delivery handoff without rebuilding the process in custom fields?
Can managers route leads, track activity, automate follow-up, forecast revenue, and see why an opportunity stalled?
Can a rep move from site information to a credible customer proposal, and how much specialist solar design happens inside the platform?
Does the workflow support the language, currency, tax, communications, documents, and handoffs common in South Africa?
What setup, migration, training, administration, and extra software does the apparent subscription require?

Country research
A customer may ask what solar will save and how long the battery will carry selected loads. Those are different calculations. The proposal must survive site changes, equipment substitutions, SSEG authorisation, installation, electrical sign-off, and handover. A useful CRM preserves both promises while keeping messages and personal information under business control.
The South African Revenue Service states that VAT is charged at a standard rate of 15% on taxable supplies by registered vendors, while some supplies are zero-rated or exempt. A CRM should therefore know whether the installer is a VAT vendor, show VAT consistently on the proposal and invoice, preserve the tax treatment through revisions, and export the approved values to accounting. The software should apply rules approved by the business and its tax adviser rather than guessing from the customer's location.
South African Revenue Service: Value-Added Tax ↗Eskom publishes prices for directly supplied end customers and municipal bulk purchases, with categories that include residential, urban, rural, municipal, and generator tariffs. Municipal customers can face different structures and export terms. A sales record needs the supplier, tariff name, version date, fixed and variable charges, time-of-use periods where relevant, escalation assumption, and export treatment. A proposal that says only Eskom tariff can produce a neat payback number from the wrong bill structure.
Eskom: Tariffs and charges ↗The City of Cape Town says new solar PV and battery systems have been treated as grid-tied since 1 October 2023 and must be authorised. Its published journey can include an online application, permission to install, a Certificate of Compliance, supplemental contract, commissioning report, and a commissioning letter before switch-on. This is a useful CRM model even though other municipalities and Eskom have their own processes. SSEG cannot be reduced to a single permit checkbox.
City of Cape Town: Apply for authorisation to install an SSEG system ↗ECA(SA) states that only an Installation Electrician or Master Installation Electrician can issue a Certificate of Compliance for a solar installation. CRM fields can record the number, issuing electrician, inspection date, exceptions, and document. They do not turn a platform-generated page into a valid CoC or replace professional responsibility. The signed scope, as-installed equipment, commissioning evidence, customer training, and warranty pack should reach handover together.
Electrical Contractors Association South Africa: PV installers must be electrical contractors ↗POPIA section 21 requires the responsible party to use a written contract to ensure that an operator processing personal information establishes and maintains required security measures. Section 14 limits retention to what is necessary unless another authorised basis applies and requires deletion, destruction, or de-identification when retention is no longer authorised. The installer should therefore review the CRM's operator agreement, subprocessors, access, incident notice, retention, deletion, backup, and exit procedures.
South African Government: Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ↗Full reviews
Each review explains the useful workflow, the buyer who should shortlist it, and the country-specific question that a sales demo must answer.
Quickest ranks first for an installer that wants a focused mobile sales path and agrees to verify every South African requirement before adoption.
Quickest puts the everyday sales actions together: capture the lead, prepare a branded proposal, assign and move the opportunity, and keep follow-up visible from a phone. That focus can be more useful to a small installer than a broad CRM that needs months of object, workflow, permission, and integration design. The free plan gives one user ten proposals each month, enough to run a controlled pilot with real enquiries and failed deals rather than judging a prepared vendor account.
The recommendation is conditional. QuickEstimate publishes this page and owns Quickest. The product's public evidence focuses on Indian EPCs, Indian pricing, local subsidy calculations, and India-specific integrations. A South African buyer must verify ZAR, VAT, supplier tariffs, hybrid autonomy, approved equipment, NRS 097, SSEG, CoC, handover, POPIA operator terms, marketing consent, WhatsApp operation, hosting, support, payment, accounting, and exports. If those needs fail the demo, another product is the more responsible choice.
Choose it if: proposal speed and mobile sales adoption are the first problems, and Quickest passes the written South Africa fit test. Choose another platform if: the team needs a local calculation, regulatory, field, privacy, or billing function that Quickest cannot demonstrate.
Nova Metrics publishes the most complete South Africa-specific feature set in this comparison, from ZAR proposals and battery inputs to installation stages, CoC fields, and handover.
Nova Metrics says its platform combines client intake, load-based sizing, battery capacity and autonomy gates, inverter checks, financial modelling, proposal delivery by email or WhatsApp, engagement tracking, installation stages, change approval, CoC recording, and signed handover. It also claims location-specific irradiance data, a South African inverter register, and alignment with NRS 097-2-1 and NERSA SSEG guidance. These are relevant local claims, but they remain statements from the vendor and should be tested against an engineer-approved design and the applicable authority.
The vendor lists Starter at R1,999 monthly, Professional at R3,999, and Enterprise from R7,999, with PayFast processing in ZAR and a 14-day trial. Confirm VAT, users, integrations, implementation, support, storage, messages, and renewal. The vendor also states that its outputs are indicative, do not certify compliance, and do not replace licensed sign-off or municipal approval. That candid boundary is important. Nova Metrics ranks second because local depth is well documented, while independent usage and output accuracy remain thin.
Choose it if: the buyer wants one locally framed product from system inputs and proposal through installation records and handover. Choose another platform if: the company requires independently established engineering accuracy, mature marketing automation, or a proven integration not shown in the contract.
solarVis is the strongest documented choice for a design-led team that needs South African tariff structures, battery simulation, proposals, CRM, and project records in one environment.
solarVis says its South African configuration includes common Eskom and municipal tariffs, time-of-use schedules, net billing, configurable export rates and VAT, and NERSA-aligned rules for grid-tied residential feasibility. Its proposal plans add 3D roof modelling, shading, battery and heat-pump simulation, an integrated CRM, project management, material data, and custom templates. The vendor also publishes an Energy4All case in which the named customer praises access to South African tariffs and regulations. Treat that as a vendor-published customer account rather than independent testing.
Pricing is transparent but exposed to EUR exchange movements. Start costs €1,188 per year for 10 monthly projects, Grow €2,988 for 30, and Scale €4,908 for 60. Confirm VAT, project counting, extra users, lead products, integrations, support, and cancellation. Test the exact Eskom and municipal tariffs served, then compare outputs with recent bills. solarVis ranks third because it directly addresses local modelling, though annual foreign-currency billing and project caps can matter to a smaller installer.
Choose it if: tariff accuracy, design, storage modelling, and the proposal are the main buying reasons. Choose another platform if: the company wants ZAR billing, unlimited low-cost proposals, deeper field jobcards, or broad marketing automation.
Zoho CRM is the strongest general-purpose choice for a South African solar company prepared to build its own pipeline, consent records, automation, reports, and solar integrations.
Zoho publishes a free CRM edition for three users and paid tiers with contacts, workflows, reports, APIs, and mobile access. Its pricing interface includes ZAR, but the server response reviewed from our location defaulted elsewhere, so we do not quote a paid rand figure. DSL Telecom publishes a named implementation for The Solar Experts in the Western Cape, describing a move from spreadsheets and manual documents into Zoho CRM, Forms, Sign, Flow, and Mail. This is implementation-partner evidence rather than an independent product test.
Zoho requires deliberate solar configuration. Build tariff source, bill upload, load profile, battery promise, design request, proposal revision, SSEG authority, CoC, handover, consent, retention, and service records. Connect the design product and choose which application owns system size, production, and signed price. Obtain a ZAR quote covering the required apps, users, API, storage, messages, support, and onboarding. Zoho ranks fourth because it has broad CRM depth and some local adoption evidence, while the solar workflow is the buyer's responsibility.
Choose it if: the business has a capable process owner and needs broad sales control more than a ready-made solar workflow. Choose another platform if: the team expects local solar calculations, tariffs, regulatory stages, and field documents without configuration.
OpenSolar is the best free design and proposal starting point for a South African installer that can accept lighter CRM governance or connect a dedicated sales platform.
OpenSolar's official pages describe design, proposals, e-signature, project records, team actions, schedules, and customer communication in a free core platform. This can remove a major startup cost and keep customer-facing numbers near the design. A growing sales team should test lead assignment, duplicate control, activity history, consent, WhatsApp, forecasting, permissions, and marketing attribution. If those functions remain light, use OpenSolar for design and proposals beside a dedicated CRM with a documented data owner.
South African evaluation should include ZAR and VAT, current supplier tariffs, hybrid and battery behaviour, inverter evidence, SSEG and handover, local equipment, payments, data terms, and exports. Ask which connectors, APIs, imagery, finance, and support services cost extra. Run one Cape Town job from first bill through commissioning and a second project under a different supplier. OpenSolar ranks fifth because the free core is valuable, but the product must prove local calculations and may not provide the sales or field depth a larger team expects.
Choose it if: design and proposal production are the immediate gaps and a light CRM is sufficient. Choose another platform if: the company needs strict sales management, local field execution, or documented authority-specific workflow in one tool.
TrackFSO is the strongest field-work choice for South African solar and electrical contractors that need digital jobcards, site evidence, assets, inventory, warranties, quotes, and invoices.
TrackFSO explicitly targets South African solar, electrical, HVAC, security, and field-service companies. Its page describes scheduling, mobile jobcards, time, travel, materials, photos, QR-labelled assets, fault reports, inventory, warranty alerts, quotes, approvals, invoices, roles, reports, and exports. This solves a different failure from a sales CRM. The value appears after the customer accepts, when crews, serial numbers, site evidence, stock, service, and customer communication need to remain connected. Technical solar design still comes from another system.
Public monthly prices include VAT: R1,379 for Starter, R2,644 for Growth, R4,599 for Business, and R6,899 for Enterprise. Plan limits and capabilities differ, and the vendor offers a 30-day trial. Treat its user, customer, setup, and performance statements as vendor claims. Test offline site work, CoC storage, as-installed revisions, inventory deductions, warranty reminders, POPIA terms, WhatsApp history, accounting, and exports. TrackFSO ranks sixth because field depth is useful, while lead nurture and solar design need other tools.
Choose it if: installation, service, jobcards, assets, and field accountability are the largest operational gaps. Choose another platform if: the primary need is technical design, tariff modelling, automated lead nurture, or proposal-first selling.
ServCraft is the best locally hosted job-management option in this list for a trade business that wants quotes, custom forms, offline technicians, inventory, accounting, and customer records.
ServCraft's official pages describe job management, custom forms and tasks, quotes, invoices, purchase orders, offline mobile work, inventory, accounting integrations, a customer portal, and a 14-day trial. Standard pricing is R349 per user monthly excluding VAT, with separately published charges for branches, extra storage, emails, and SMS. It is a trade platform serving solar alongside electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and security work, so it needs separate solar design, tariff, battery, and production capability.
Its POPIA page says primary hosting uses Microsoft Azure South Africa North with geo-redundancy to South Africa West and publishes details about encryption, access, backups, incident handling, and retention. These remain vendor statements, and local hosting alone does not prove lawful processing. Review the operator contract, subprocessors, cancellation retention, deletion, exports, permissions, and recovery commitments. ServCraft ranks seventh because its local operations and documentation are useful, while the solar sales and calculation layers require a connected specialist.
Choose it if: the installer wants a South African trade-job system with offline technicians and a documented local hosting position. Choose another platform if: the buyer needs a ready solar design, tariff, proposal, or marketing CRM before field operations.
HubSpot is the strongest choice here for a solar business whose central problem is connecting website enquiries, campaigns, meetings, email, sales activity, and attribution.
HubSpot's public CRM page covers contacts, imports, deals, tasks, activities, reporting, forms, meetings, communication, and mobile access. That breadth can connect the first website visit to an eventual sale and show which campaigns create valuable opportunities. It does not natively calculate South African solar production, tariffs, battery autonomy, or SSEG requirements. The business needs a solar design and delivery layer, plus a written rule for which platform owns the price, system specification, proposal status, consent, and opportunity stage.
The free CRM supports a useful pilot, while paid combinations of marketing, sales, service, content, and operations products can become more complex. Request South African contract currency, VAT, seats, marketing contacts, messages, automation, onboarding, support, data terms, and renewal. Configure POPIA purpose and retention, electronic marketing, objection and suppression, access, and export with legal review. HubSpot ranks eighth because the solar work requires a larger composed stack, though an inbound-led installer may reasonably choose it over every specialist for marketing control.
Choose it if: inbound acquisition, nurture, attribution, and sales activity matter more than native solar calculations. Choose another platform if: the team expects a South Africa-ready solar design, regulatory, jobcard, or handover process in one subscription.
Buyer guide
Choose by the most expensive broken handoff, then test that handoff using real opportunities, real users, and the documents your customers actually receive.
Use Quickest to test whether a representative can capture, quote, and follow up from a phone without returning to spreadsheets. Continue only after the vendor demonstrates South African price, tax, tariff, storage, regulatory, privacy, and handover needs with the installer's own proposal.
Nova Metrics publishes the most locally specific feature set, including ZAR billing, tariff and battery inputs, WhatsApp proposals, job stages, CoC fields, and handover. Treat calculation, compliance, speed, and adoption statements as vendor claims and validate outputs professionally.
Choose solarVis when designs, batteries, customer proposals, and current Eskom or municipal tariffs need to live close together. Budget in EUR, check annual project limits, and verify every authority, tariff, standard, and integration used by the business.
Zoho fits a team prepared to configure stages, fields, automation, consent, reports, and solar-tool connections. Its free edition supports a small pilot, and a partner has published a named South African solar implementation. Local paid pricing needs a fresh ZAR quote.
OpenSolar is useful when design and proposal cost comes before deep sales governance. Run real leads through its project CRM and identify which assignment, messaging, consent, forecasting, field, accounting, or API needs require another product.
TrackFSO suits a solar or electrical contractor that needs schedules, digital jobcards, site photos, QR assets, inventory, warranty alerts, quotes, and invoices in a public ZAR-priced package. It still needs an engineering and production design layer.
ServCraft combines quotes, jobs, forms, offline mobile work, inventory, and accounting connections. Its vendor-published POPIA page describes South African Azure hosting. Review the operator contract and retention details rather than relying on the location statement alone.
HubSpot is the shortlist when forms, campaign history, email, meetings, attribution, and sales activity matter most. Connect a South Africa-ready solar design and delivery stack, then define which platform owns consent, price, proposal version, and opportunity stage.
Run the same three opportunities in every shortlisted CRM: one ordinary lead, one revision-heavy project, and one deal that already failed. This removes demo theatre and exposes repeated entry, stale documents, weak mobile adoption, and missing local support.
Capture a real lead, assign it, create the proposal, schedule follow-up, record acceptance, and hand it to delivery.
Change the system, equipment, price, payment route, and installation date. Identify every stale record.
Use a duplicate, missed follow-up, rejected proposal, or delayed job and ask the CRM to show what happens next.
Generate a real residential and commercial proposal in rand. Confirm whether prices include or exclude VAT, how deposits and discounts behave, what appears on credit notes and invoices, and whether the subscription itself is billed in ZAR. Keep list prices, cost prices, margin permissions, and customer totals separate. Have the accountant approve the output before it becomes a template.
Capture the electricity supplier, tariff, version, time bands, fixed charges, demand charges, export rate, and escalation assumption used in the savings model. Attach the source and bill date. Give one role responsibility for updates. If the vendor preloads tariffs, ask how often they change, who validates them, and whether the signed proposal retains its original version.
Separate bill savings from backup capability. Record essential or whole-home loads, peak demand, inverter limits, usable battery capacity, depth of discharge, efficiency, reserve, charging source, expected autonomy, degradation, and replacement assumptions. Require a clear customer-facing explanation of what remains powered. Technical design and professional review still sit outside ordinary CRM automation.
Store the inverter model, relevant register or approval reference, DC and AC values, design reviewer, standard version, and exceptions. A vendor statement that its calculation follows NRS 097 or NERSA guidance is useful evidence about product intent, not proof that a project is approved. The installer and authorised professionals remain responsible for the design and local requirements.
Model application, required professional details, documents, approval to install, meter or export choice, supplemental agreement, inspection, commissioning, final approval, and permission to energise as distinct events where the authority requires them. Keep Eskom and each municipality configurable. Assign an owner and due date so a signed sale does not disappear in an undefined approval stage.
The final record should contain the approved proposal, revisions, installed serial numbers, site photos, test results, CoC, issuing electrician, grid documents, warranty dates, manuals, customer training, monitoring access, and signed handover. Field users need jobcards that work at the site. Customers need one durable pack rather than attachments buried across several chats.
Identify the installer as responsible party and each provider processing information as an operator where applicable. Review the written operator terms, purpose, authorisation, confidentiality, safeguards, incident notification, subprocessors, cross-border transfers, hosting, backups, staff access, deletion, and exit export. South African hosting can be a preference, but do not present it as the only path to POPIA compliance.
Record the lead source, collection notice, consent or customer basis, message category, sender identity, objection, and suppression status. Test WhatsApp, SMS, and email. Confirm whether messages come from a shared business channel, how personal devices are handled, whether templates are approved, and how the history leaves with an employee. Ask counsel to review the final direct-marketing workflow.
Set retention by record type and lawful purpose instead of keeping every bill, ID, photo, and unsuccessful lead indefinitely. Test access for sales, design, electricians, subcontractors, finance, field teams, and support. Require audit history, correction, deletion or de-identification, legal holds, bulk export, attachment export, cancellation, and the timetable for deletion from primary systems and backups.
The real budget
South African buyers can compare several products directly in rand, but the license is only one part of the cost. Nova Metrics includes solar design and handover claims. TrackFSO and ServCraft focus on field jobs. solarVis prices its proposal software in euros. Zoho and HubSpot require solar configuration, while OpenSolar may need a deeper CRM around its free core. Price the complete route from enquiry through signed handover, not the cheapest login.
1 user and 10 proposals monthly; South African paid terms unverified
ZAR billing; confirm VAT and full commercial scope
10 projects monthly; annual EUR billing
ZAR selector available; obtain a current local paid quote
Nova Metrics publishes monthly ZAR plans at R1,999 for Starter, R3,999 for Professional, and from R7,999 for Enterprise. It also publishes discounted annual totals and a 14-day no-card trial. Its page says PayFast processes payments in ZAR. Confirm whether VAT is included or added, which users and features are included, implementation, storage, messaging, support, and the renewal terms.
solarVis lists annual EUR prices of €1,188 for 10 projects per month, €2,988 for 30, and €4,908 for 60. TrackFSO publishes monthly ZAR prices including VAT of R1,379, R2,644, R4,599, and R6,899, with plan-specific user and feature limits. TrackFSO offers a 30-day trial. Compare project volume, seats, exchange exposure, field roles, and integrations rather than only the starting figure.
ServCraft lists R349 per user per month excluding VAT, includes up to 20 users on the standard offer, and publishes separate charges for branches, extra storage, email volume, and SMS. It offers a 14-day trial. Zoho, OpenSolar, and HubSpot provide free entry routes, but paid automation, API, messages, contacts, storage, support, or external solar software can determine the real three-year cost.
Our number-one pick
Quickest wins under a narrow and stated principle: the best first CRM is the one a small solar sales team will use while the buyer is still engaged. It joins lead capture, branded proposal creation, a solar pipeline, mobile access, and follow-up in a focused journey. A free plan with one user and ten monthly proposals gives an owner enough room to test ordinary deals, revisions, lost opportunities, and mobile behaviour before committing the wider team.
That strength cannot erase the localisation gap. QuickEstimate owns Quickest and publishes this ranking. The public product is built around Indian EPC sales, Indian-rupee pricing, PM Surya Ghar calculations, Indian lead sources, GST examples, and India-focused customer proof. We found no official evidence establishing South African ZAR and VAT output, Eskom and municipal tariff data, hybrid autonomy calculations, inverter registers, NRS 097 handling, SSEG workflows, CoC records, POPIA terms, local payment, or support.
The pilot must use the installer's own electricity bill, load profile, battery promise, equipment, quote template, VAT status, municipality, marketing source, and handover pack. Ask Quickest to show the proposal revision and preserve both the old and accepted assumptions. Ask how WhatsApp consent and objections are recorded, where data is processed, which operators receive it, how long it remains after a lost lead, and what leaves the platform at cancellation. Put every accepted answer in writing.

Common questions
Quickest Solar CRM is our first pick for a small installer that values mobile proposal speed, a clear pipeline, and consistent follow-up. QuickEstimate owns Quickest, and its public proof is India-first. South African localisation must be demonstrated in writing. Nova Metrics has the strongest local quote-to-handover claims, solarVis has the clearest tariff-led design evidence, TrackFSO and ServCraft suit field work, and Zoho or HubSpot fits a configurable general CRM strategy.
We found no public official evidence that confirms complete support for those South African requirements. Quickest should demonstrate a real ZAR proposal, 15% VAT treatment, the buyer's Eskom or municipal tariff, battery assumptions, SSEG stages, CoC and handover records, POPIA controls, and local messaging before purchase. The written commercial agreement should identify included localisation, setup responsibility, support, payment currency, and change management. Its first-place ranking reflects proposal-first adoption, not proven local compliance.
A VAT-registered installer should use documents approved for its tax position. SARS states that the standard VAT rate is 15% on taxable supplies by registered vendors, while some supplies can be zero-rated or exempt. The CRM should preserve whether quoted prices include or exclude VAT, the tax amount, registration information, deposits, discounts, credits, and invoice handoff. It should automate the rule supplied by the business and adviser, not decide tax treatment independently.
Savings depend on the customer's actual supplier and tariff structure. Eskom publishes several customer categories, while municipalities can have their own fixed charges, time bands, blocks, demand charges, and export terms. The CRM or connected design system should retain the named tariff, version date, bill source, consumption profile, export assumption, and escalation used in the signed proposal. A generic national tariff can make the financial story precise but wrong.
Software can prepare job records, store test evidence, record the CoC number, and include the final document in a handover pack. It does not gain legal authority to issue the certificate. ECA(SA) states that only an Installation Electrician or Master Installation Electrician can issue a CoC for a solar installation. The CRM should preserve the issuing person, inspection, as-installed equipment, exceptions, signature, and customer delivery without representing a generated template as professional sign-off.
Look for role-based access, audit history, purpose and consent fields, retention controls, correction, deletion or de-identification, secure exports, incident procedures, and clear subprocessor and cross-border terms. POPIA section 21 requires a written contract between a responsible party and an operator covering security measures. Section 14 limits retention. Section 69 regulates unsolicited electronic direct marketing. Features support compliance, but the installer remains responsible for lawful configuration, notices, staff practice, and legal review.
WhatsApp is useful when the business controls the process. Capture the lead source, lawful basis, sender identity, message type, objection, and suppression status. Keep business conversations in an authorised shared workflow rather than only on a representative's personal phone. Control access to bills, IDs, site photos, finance details, and signed documents. Confirm provider terms, templates, opt-out handling, history export, staff departures, and retention. A CRM log improves accountability but does not make every message lawful.
TrackFSO is the strongest jobcard-focused option in this list. Its official page describes schedules, digital jobcards, site photos, QR assets, inventory, warranties, quotes, invoices, and public ZAR prices including VAT. ServCraft is another local field option with custom forms, offline mobile use, inventory, accounting connections, and a published South African hosting posture. Nova Metrics is more solar-specific and claims a structured path from proposal through CoC fields and signed handover. Validate each claim in a live project.
Public entry points range from free to several thousand rand monthly. Quickest, Zoho, OpenSolar, and HubSpot provide free starting routes for different workflows. Nova Metrics starts at R1,999 per month. TrackFSO starts at R1,379 per month including VAT. ServCraft lists R349 per user monthly excluding VAT. solarVis starts at €1,188 per year for 10 monthly projects. Add design, messages, storage, connectors, setup, support, accounting, field users, exchange exposure, VAT, and renewal before comparing totals.
Use the Three-Deal Proof and require every vendor to show the same lead, revision, document, and failed handoff.
